Jimbaran Bali villas for rent

Welcome to 5 Star Villa Holidays, the No.1 website for renting 5-star villas in incredible Jimbaran, Bali, with an exclusive selection of the very best villas.

Jimbaran lies just south of Kuta on the western side of Bali's narrow isthmus but could be a world away from the busy tourist resort.

Known as the Island of the Gods, Bali is one of the most magical destinations on earth and Jimbaran is one of the very best spots. Spend the day soaking up the sun on the golden sands on one of the very best beaches on Bali. The peaceful fishing village and coastal resort of Jimbaran sits in the stunning west facing bay which makes it an incredible spot to see the sun set to mark the end of a perfect day in paradise.

The calm waters of Jimbaran Bay are lined by 5 kilometres of pristine beach. It is a great safe spot for swimming with an unbroken coral reef across the entrance to the sweeping bay. For beginners wanting to try their hand at surfing for the first time the calm waters are the perfect place to learn the basics before venturing on to more challenging waves. The beach runs from the southside of the airport to the start of the Bukit Peninsula.

Seafood warungs with the freshest catches of the day are set just back from the beach. The cheaper options are at the south end of the beach and more upscale at the north end. But whichever end you choose, the view will be stunning and the seafood fresh off the boat that same morning. The laid back setting has an incredible backdrop of tropical rainforest making the whole scene picture postcard perfect.

There are a number of five-star developments in the area but Jimbaran itself remains a quiet low-key spot. There is also a host of other great beach options nearby if you can drag yourself away.

Jimbaran is the perfect Bali location if you are looking to relax and take in the many amazing sites of this incredible island.

I will look forward to helping you choose your 5 Star villa in Jimbaran for your dream holiday.

All the best,

John Paul Donnelly

The best things to do in and around Jimbaran - chosen for you

Visit Uluwatu Temple

An absolute must see! Uluwatu Temple is perched on a steep cliff 70 meters above the waves below.
During the day, there is a stunning fire show and dance that proves very popular. Things can get busy so come early if you can. The temple is open from 8am to 6pm daily.
Beware of the monkeys though. While they may look cute, they will make off with hats, sunglasses, bags, food – almost anything if you give them the chance.
Have your valuables hidden away and hold on tight to your belongings or the last you see of your new camera may be a monkey bounding off with it. Also please remember to wear appropriate clothing.

Sunset at Rock Bar

Rock bar in Jimbaran Is famous as the best place to watch the sun go down in Bali. Perched on a cliff top above the beach views take in the whole sweep of the five-kilometre bay. Find your way to Rock Bar through the AYANA Resort and Spa funicular. While shorts and flip flops are the usual Bali dress code it is a little different at the Rock Bar. There is a strict dress code – no shirts or shoes then no entry unfortunately. But most people use this as an excuse to dress to impress and the crowd here is distinctly stylish.
If you want to be sure of a seat though, you better come early. The Rock Bar opens from 4pm and there are often queues building ahead of sunset. But if you can't get in, don't worry, you can still see the sunset from the nearby pier.

Explore Garuda Wisnu Kencana

The locals call it GWK, a culture park spread out across more than 250 hectares of land just outside of the centre of Jimbaran.
There are a number of stages where local cultural shows are held throughout the year – if you get the chance, do take one in to see some authentic Balinese culture.
The main feature of the park, however, is the giant statue of the Hindu god Vishnu on top of the impressive Indonesian Garuda bird.

Discover Hidden Beach

As the name suggests Hidden Beach is tucked away and can be hard to locate. But make the effort as this very pretty kilometer stretch of stand, backed by limestone cliffs, is well worth the effort. Close to Kutuh Village, you'll see several stone arches with Hindu Statues carved into them on your way down to the beach. Once you do find Hidden Beach, you'll also find there is plenty to do when you get there. There is a host of water sports on offer and some great beachside cafes.

Surfing at …. take your pick

A short distance from Jimbaran, Padang Padang beach is a mecca for surfers and thrill-seekers. This is definitely a step up from the quiet waters of Jimbaran Bay so not for beginners. But, you could always go to watch some of the impressive surfers catching the waves even if you aren't yet up to taking to the water here.
Other great locations within easy reach of Jimbaran include Suluban Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on Bali. Wedged between limestone rocks, it is a bit tricky to get to and can only be accessed by steep steps but is worth the effort.

Pura Ulu Siwi

Another magical temple that should be on your must-see list. The temple has a stunning mountain backdrop and is a cool spot to avoid the sometimes-sweltering Bali heat.
While most temples face to the south, Pura Ulun Siwi actually faces east and is a beautiful location to watch the sun rise. Mornings are best to visit, and a trip here can be combined with the nearby Jimbaran market.
Again, watch out for the monkeys here. They aren't afraid of humans and will make off with your belongings given a chance.

Indulge in a spa treatment

You simply can't visit Bali and not indulge in at least one of the famous Balinese spa treatments.
You are spoilt for choice when it comes to options with all the major resorts offering excellent spa options as well as a host of independent spa centres. If you want to try a high-end independent, then Bamboo Spa comes very highly recommended.

Create your own personal scent

L'Atelier Parfums et Creations gives you the opportunity to create your very own perfume. Working with an expert teacher you will learn how to blend the essential oils together to create your very own scent. It's not just for grown ups as there is a kid's workshop where youngsters can create their own aromatic concoctions. Why not create a scent to remind you of this magical spot in Bali when you get home.

Restaurants in Jimbaran - where shall I dine today?

Head to the beach. Jimbaran is rightly famous as one of the best places to eat seafood in Bali.
You will be spoilt for choice and can easily try a different local restaurant each night of your stay if you wish.
You will find the more expensive restaurants at the North end of the beach with more casual and easier-on-the-wallet options at the South end. If you want a prime table on the beach,
then book ahead, particularly if it is in high season.

Shopping in Jimbaran

There are two great markets in Jimbaran that are well worth a visit. The Jimbaran traditional market is packed with local vendors selling crafts, street food and fresh products. This is where the locals come to stock up on a daily basis.
Jimbaran Kedonganan seafood market is the place to go early in the morning to see the fishermen returning and unloading that day's catch for sale. It's a great place to get a traditional breakfast and watch the daily ritual of traditional Balinese life.
Sereh Gourmet Supermarket is a great spot for quality products including cheeses, smoked meats and wines. They also have a quality selection of upscale swimwear and souvenirs as well. They will also deliver your food to your villa and take you home with it as well if you ask.Why not put together a picnic for lunch?
Samasta Lifestyle Village is another worth-a-visit shopping option. This complex is filled with places to pick up gifts and souvenirs of your stay and there are also nail bars, snack bars, ice cream parlours and much more. You could pick up a souvenir to remind you of your trip until you can return to this special Balinese spot.
