Tucked away along the Wild Atlantic Way, County Cork Cottage 1002 is a charming and intimate retreat, perfect for a romantic hideaway or a peaceful escape. With a beautiful mezzanine bedroom, cozy interiors, and its own private sunken garden, this cottage is a tranquil West Cork gem.

Whether you're warming your hands by the wood-burning stove after a bracing beach walk or sipping coffee on your stone-paved terrace, County Cork Cottage 1002 offers a serene and stylish base from which to explore Ireland’s stunning southern coast.

The Space

County Cork Cottage 1002 is thoughtfully designed for couples, but can also accommodate a small family:

  • A romantic mezzanine bedroom with a king-size sleigh bed overlooks a warm and welcoming sitting room.

  • The alcove-lit sitting area features a wood-burning stove and a sofa bed, suitable for a child or an extra guest.

  • The fully equipped kitchen sits just off the living space, ideal for preparing locally sourced meals.

  • A modern bathroom includes a large, glass-doored walk-in shower.

  • Feather & down duvets and pillows ensure a restful night’s sleep.


Step outside through the traditional coach house doors to a private terrace with garden furniture. A few steps down, you'll discover your very own sunken garden – a quiet sanctuary for morning coffee or evening sundowners.

For those who want to stay connected, free Wi-Fi is available.

Prefer to focus on relaxation rather than cooking? We offer optional farm-to-fork catering featuring organic produce from our garden, fresh eggs from our hens, and ethically sourced local meat and fish.

  • Proper porridge with a variety of toppings

  • Homemade muesli packed with nuts, seeds, and seasonal fruit
