This 4-story house in the heart of historic Sibenik is in a ideal location for exploring the city an...d for walking around in the evening. It has a very well equipped kitchen and easily accommodates 5 people. Neither the house nor Sibenik itself would be appropriate for anyone with a disability due to the steps everywhere. We were greeted kindly with the key when we arrived. The house was spotlessly clean and has 3+ bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, a small balcony at the top overlooking the plaza where a very nice restaurant is located. The negatives are few: parking is a real nuisance and expensive in Sibenik. Because of the tiny, pedestrian only streets, there is no option, but we immediately got a ticket when we went to look for change for the meter. The house doesn't have a microwave, and (oddly) no smoke detector, which considering the kitchen is on the bottom floor, is actually quite a hazard. Interhome were not at all helpful with directions to the house, assuming we would have a navigation system, and didn't provide this even when asked twice. We only had cold water in the evenings and didn't discover where the boiler controls were. Very little storage for clothes as all the wardrobes and drawers were full of spare linens. Very well kept house on 4 levels; kitchen on ground floor, living room on next, then 2 bedroom with ...the top bedroom having a small balcony overlooking a small plaza with very good restaurant in it. Each floor has a bathroom. Amenities include very well stocked kitchen, wifi, TV and A/c. The kitchen lacks a microwave. Great location for exploring Sibenik, and reasonably near the bus station for those traveling by bus. Parking is difficult all over Sibenik. Expect to pay 3-10 kuna per hour including overnight. They do ticket...we got one when searching for change. Many don't take credit cards or bills. The apartment was lacking a smoke detector, a potential safety hazard in a house built like a chimney. This should be addressed. There was almost no space to put clothes or belongings away, as most space was taken up with spare linens. Overall loved the place though. Read More
