Séréna August 2025he house and location are truly excellent — the property is comfortable, well-maintained, and situated in a very nice area that makes it easy to enjoy the surroundings. We really appreciated the quality of the accommodation and the pleasant atmosphere, which made our stay enjoyable overall. However, we were disappointed to discover an additional fee of 199 CHF that was not clearly presented in the main description but only in the fine print. For such a significant amount, this lack of transparency feels misleading and left us with a poor impression at the end of an otherwise positive stay. While the charge may be technically acceptable, clearer communication and full visibility about all extra costs upfront would be much fairer and would certainly enhance the experience for future guests.
Jordan August 2025Very pleasant stay! The space was comfortable and cozy - a perfect home base for exploring the Aletsch area. There are several great hikes directly from the front door. The view from the balcony was amazing: on a clear day, you can even spot the top of the Matterhorn.
We made extensive use of the kitchen and were very happy with the nice cookware, including a raclette grill. The kitchen was generally very well stocked for most cooking, but had only a single trash bag, 3 coffee pods, and no paper towels. It was easy for us to stock up with a trip to Coop though!
Note that the house requires navigating 3ish flights of stairs to come and go. For us this was no problem at all, but it might not be ideal for people with mobility impairments.
On the whole, I fell completely in love with the charm, views, and location. Would absolutely recommend to someone else who wants to explore the natural beauty of this region!

However, the main bathroom light wasn’t working during our stay, and only half a roll of toilet paper was provided. The host left replacements the day after check in, but we chose not to install bulbs ourselves to avoid causing any damage.
The communication can be improved — we asked about trash disposal the day before departure and only got a reply the next morning.
We understand this is a vacation rental, not a hotel, but some basic essentials and clearer communication would help future guests.

We stayed for a long weekend in this beautiful apartment. It's very close to the cable car station and easy to find. The view from the balcony is stunning and we were lucky to have great weather too. What stood out for me were the appliances in this flat. There is a TV on the ground floor, good internet, a gaming corner up on the gallery (our kids loved playing the Xbox!), a keyboard, Cassette players with a draw full of stories to listen too. The kitchen is a bit dated but has everything you need. We made use of the Raclette oven on our first evening. I can highly recommend this place for your stay. The surroundings are beautiful, and so much to do if you like hiking and exploring nature.

Staying in Riederalp was unique - out of high season it's a secluded place with neither cars nor people bothering you. The apartment has all the amenities you may think of, and it truly offers the experience of staying in someone's house what was an original Airbnb idea. I only need to mark that wifi wasn't working for the two days of our stay, and for some reason it wasn't possible to fix it. Hopefully that gets sorted for next guests, as we had only positive experience otherwise.
