Spacious and comfortable house near the river Inarijoki (100 m) in Karigasniemi. Fishing spots next to it and hunting areas just "a stone's throw away". Shop, restaurant and border crossing point to Norway within 1 km distance. 445 km to the north from Rovaniemi, 100 km to the northwest from Inari, river Inarijoki 100 m (rapid Utsjoki 1280), possibility to dip in the river, steep slope to the shore and beautiful view on the Norwegian side. Wooden house, built in 1990. Living room, kitchen, bedroom with double bed (width 180 cm), two other bedrooms with 2 beds in each, sauna, washroom/WC, fireplace room, utility room, also separate WC and large covered terrace (60 m²). In the kitchen, there is a ceramic hob and separate convection oven. Traditional lean-to shelter and campfire site by the lake. Utsjoki 1280 is an ideal base for outdoor activities and nature trips. It is also easy to make trips to the Norwegian side. The distance to Karasjoki is only 20 km, to Lakselvi 90 km. One of Utsjoki's three Ailigas fells is near Karigasniemi. It suits well a day trip destination. Ailigas hut, about 5 km along the path. Illuminated ski trail in the village, length 2.5 km. The trails in the area are also suitable for mountain biking. Fishing: The Utsjoki Wilderness angling permit area includes numerous lake, pond and river waters in the fell areas, for example in the Kaldoaivi, Paistunturi and Muotkatunturi wilderness areas in Utsjoki municipality. Some of the fishing spots are close to the road and easily accessible, so these spots are well suited for family day trips. Wide wilderness areas enable even long hiking trips. River Tana and river Inarijoki have own specific fishing rules (see info published by the Lapland ELY Centre, https://www.ely-keskus.fi/kalastus-tenojoella). Fishing permits to the Tana river can be bought from Tana fishing permits online store, see www.tenonkalaluvat.fi, and from companies operating in the area. NOTE! In summer 2023, salmon fishing was prohibited on river Tana. However, permits for catching other fish species (e.g. grayling and sea trout) are available. Hunting: Small game hunting area on state owned land starts immediately on the outskirts of Karigasniemi village (destination 1601 Karigasniemi, www.eraluvat.fi). Karigasniemi chapel, 200 m. Shop, restaurant and fuel sales 1 km. 100 km distance to Utsjoki. The road between Karigasniemi and Utsjoki runs in the middle of beautiful river landscape.
