Best places to stay in Koh Samui

Best places to stay in Koh Samui

Where you stay in Koh Samui shapes the whole trip. Some corners of the island are all quiet beaches and long, slow sunsets. Others lean into the evening - waterfront tables, a bit of buzz, days spent close to the sea with the family. Our collection of luxury villas in Thailand includes beachfront retreats and private pool villas across Koh Samui, making it easy to choose the setting that matches the holiday you have in mind.

Lipa Noi

Over on the west coast, Lipa Noi has one of the calmest beaches on the island. The water stays shallow a long way out, the surroundings are quiet, and the sunsets are the kind you plan your evening around — which is why families and couples tend to gravitate here. Several of our beachfront villas open straight onto the sand.

Chaweng

Chaweng is where the island wakes up. By day it's cafés and water sports along the shore; by night it's beach clubs, restaurants and shopping. Base yourself close by and you get the best of both — the energy when you want it, your own quiet space to come back to when you don't.

Bophut & Fisherman's Village

Bophut moves at an easier pace, built around the old Fisherman's Village. Independent shops, cafés and seafood spots line the waterfront, and the weekly night market pulls people in from all over the island. It's an easy area to explore on foot — a favourite with couples and families who like to wander.

Best places to stay in Koh Samui

Lamai

Just south of Chaweng, Lamai slows things down without ever feeling cut off. Long stretches of sand, good local restaurants, an unhurried feel — ideal if you want proper time on the beach with everyday conveniences still close at hand.

Laem Sor

Down on the southern coast, Laem Sor stays peaceful right through the day. Palm-fringed sand, open sea views, far fewer people — the natural choice if privacy and uninterrupted time by the water are what you're after.

Ang Thong National Marine Park Excursions

Set aside a day for Ang Thong National Marine Park. Boats leave from Samui and weave between limestone cliffs, hidden lagoons and beaches you'll have largely to yourself — for many guests, it's the day they remember most.
