5 Star Villa Holidays is proud to present Nicosia Cottage 1003.

This traditional stone-built house on the mountain resort of Kalopanayiotis has been fully renovated and furnished with a combination of traditional and modern items. Every detail has been thought of, and every piece of furniture and equipment has been chosen with care.

The ground floor 1-bedroom cottage features a traditional guest house with a living room, bathroom, and a double bedroom.

With a traditional double bed in the bedroom and a double sofa-bed in the living room, the cottage can comfortably sleep 4 persons. There is a kitchenette with an electric hob for preparing quick meals and a gorgeous courtyard in the front of the house ideal to enjoy a quiet drink or coffee. A welcome pack awaits you with a bottle of local wine, tea/coffee selection, rusks, and biscuits.

The house offers a plethora of traditional memorabilia, central heating, free Wi-Fi internet, air-conditioning, and being in the center of the village is within walking distance of traditional coffee shops and restaurants.

Kalopanayiotis is one of the most interesting resorts in Cyprus. It is located in the Marathasa Valley on the Troodos range about 70 kms from Nicosia and Limassol.

In recent years, Kalopanagiotis has undergone a major revitalization with emphasis on maintaining the traditional architecture, culture, and cuisine, turning this typical picturesque village into one of the most sought-after areas of the Troodos Mountain resort.

Most people visit the village to enjoy the tranquility, the good food, the nature trails, and to breathe the clean air of the region.

Kalopanagiotis, however, has a lot more to offer. The Lampadistis Monastery, a UNESCO heritage site, is one of the main points of interest, as are the traditional architecture, the sulfur springs, the water mill, and the evergreen valley. The more adventurous visitors can try the Kalopanagiotis - Oikos Nature Trail (about 4 km), explore the region on quad bikes, spend the day fishing at the Kalopanagiotis Water Dam, or treat themselves at the spa of Casale Panayiotis. In the evening, enjoy a good local wine by the fireplace or at Oinos Bar or an amazing meal at the Old Cinema (Palio Cinema) Tavern.

Guest experiences

This cottage is lovely. There are fresh herbs growing in the garden, as well as a great fireplace. The kitchen is very well stocked with cooking tools (great set of pots, pans, casserole dishes, plates, cups, pitchers, etc), and the beds are comfortable. Bring (or buy in town) a good supply of toilet paper, firewood, and dish soap.

Laura H. December 2015

We liked the place but it was a bit too expensive for what it offered. The bedroom was also very small with no windows.
