Why choose the Gold Coast?

This is a place that doesn't take itself seriously, family-friendly attractions and beautiful coastline make it Australia's sixth biggest city. Think Las Vegas, Dubai or Miami and you'll get the feel of the place.

A magnificent 70km stretch of sand is edged with sky-high sky scrapers. The traditional home of the Yugambeh people is a city where you'll find glorious surf, rousing sunsets, major night clubs, bars and theme parks. It's the perfect place to party, yet behind the concrete towers lie the resplendent ancient wildlife of the hinterland – a majestic subtropical rainforest waiting to be explored.

From the strip you'll enjoy watersports, marine wildlife, parasailing, shopping, world-class theme parks, galleries, museums and more. Head into the hinterland and you'll find ancient rainforest, waterfalls, gorges, unique wildlife, wine tours, spa retreats, hot air ballooning and historic sites. It's a fascinating blend of contrasting terrains which means there's always a variety of options to keep everyone happy.

With great gastronomy, serene oceanside restaurants and a sublime array of luxury villas, always with breathtaking views, the Gold Coast is the perfect family break, everyone in the family will enjoy.
